Coffee, Shipping & FAQ

Chambers Fine Coffee is a Sydney specialty coffee roaster and café group. We ship freshly roasted coffee, drinking chocolate, chai and brewing gear from Sydney, Australia to customers in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong. Below are answers to the questions we are asked most often about our coffee, shipping, delivery times and import taxes.

Our coffee

Where is your coffee roasted?

All of our coffee is freshly roasted in Sydney, Australia. Roasting locally means your beans reach you fresh, whether you are in Sydney or overseas.

What beans do you use?

We use 100% high-quality Arabica beans in every coffee we sell. Arabica is prized for its sweetness, balance and complex flavour, which is why it is the bean of choice for specialty coffee.

Which coffee should I choose?

  • Almond Blossom – our signature house espresso blend. Smooth, sweet and never bitter, it is made for everyday drinking and works beautifully as a straight shot or with milk in a flat white, latte or cappuccino.
  • Starry Night – our strong espresso blend. A darker, bolder roast with a thick, syrupy body and rich sweetness, for those who like their coffee intense.
  • Single Origin Decaf – 100% Arabica from Colombia, decaffeinated using the chemical-free Swiss Water Method.

Is your decaf chemical-free?

Yes. Our Single Origin Decaf is decaffeinated using the Swiss Water Method, which uses only water to remove 99.9% of the caffeine, with no chemical solvents. It keeps the clean, bright flavour of the original Colombian Arabica beans.

Can I buy whole beans or ground coffee?

Both. Choose whole beans, or select a grind to suit your brewing method on the product page before adding to cart. For the freshest cup, we recommend whole beans ground just before brewing.

Should I buy 250g or 1kg?

If you drink coffee every day, the 1kg bag offers the best everyday value. The 250g bag is ideal for trying a new blend or for occasional drinkers.

How should I store my coffee beans?

Keep your coffee in an airtight container or resealed bag, in a cool, dark place away from heat, light and moisture. Avoid storing beans in the fridge, as moisture and odours can affect the flavour. For the best taste, enjoy your coffee within a few weeks of opening.

Shipping and delivery

Which countries do you ship to?

We currently ship to Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong. If your country is not listed, please contact us and we will let you know if we can help.

How much is shipping within Australia?

Shipping within Australia is a $10 flat rate, with free delivery on all orders over $100 Australia-wide.

How much does international shipping cost?

International shipping is calculated at checkout based on the total weight of your order and your destination. We offer two options for every international order:

  • Standard International (tracked) – fully tracked, typically 10–25 business days.
  • Express International – our fastest option, typically 2–10 business days.

Shipping costs reflect Australia Post's international postage rates, and heavier orders are charged in weight bands. Combining several items in one order is usually the most cost-effective way to ship.

How long will my order take to arrive?

All orders are dispatched from Sydney within 24 hours. Once dispatched, Standard International typically takes 10–25 business days and Express International typically takes 2–10 business days, depending on the destination and customs processing. You will receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships.

Do you ship to the United States or the United Kingdom?

Not at this time. Recent changes to US and UK import rules for small parcels mean we are unable to offer reliable, fairly priced delivery to these countries for now. We will update this page if that changes.

What currency will I pay in?

Prices are shown in your local currency: New Zealand dollars (NZD), Singapore dollars (SGD), Japanese yen (JPY) or Hong Kong dollars (HKD). Australian customers pay in Australian dollars (AUD).

Will I have to pay import duties or taxes?

Import charges depend on your country's rules and the value of your order. Any duties, taxes or fees charged by your country's customs authority are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in our prices or shipping costs. As a general guide:

  • Hong Kong – Hong Kong is a free port, and coffee is not subject to import duty or sales tax.
  • Japan – orders with a total value of ¥10,000 or less are currently exempt from customs duty and consumption tax. Larger orders may attract duty and consumption tax, collected on delivery.
  • Singapore – orders valued above S$400 may attract GST on import, payable by the recipient.
  • New Zealand – orders valued at NZ$1,000 or more may attract GST and border fees, payable by the recipient.

Import rules can change, so please check with your local customs authority if you are placing a large order.

Can I track my order?

Yes. All international orders are sent with tracking, and your tracking number is emailed to you when your order is dispatched.

Do you ship drinking chocolate, chai and brewing equipment internationally?

Yes. Our coffee beans, ground coffee, drinking chocolate, chai, matcha and brewing gear such as AeroPress and Hario V60 filters can all be shipped to every country we deliver to.
